Welcome to the NIMSEC Project
Project NIMSEC was focused on improving and overcoming locally identified problems in terms of energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy by covering various strategically important sectors of activity in 4 participant areas, in particular: Province of Cadiz, Municipality of Karlovo, Medimurje region and Pomurje region. In this context, the objectives of the project were to build a framework for concrete implementation of actions, promotion and dissemination of the local sustainable energy community model. Partners aimed at performing rather comprehensive initial energy audits in the participating areas with analysis of energy consumption and production in housing and public sector, industry, agriculture and transport sector. On the end of the action partners prepared the final energy audit to find the discrepancy results – saved energy.
One of the very basic objectives in the period was also to establish a solid project partnership with clear interconnection and division of tasks to be taken up in order to reach the overall goals of the project.
Based on the prepared analysis of the local framework conditions and on the data collected in the energy audits, concrete pilot actions were implemented towards the building an integrated model of sustainable communities.
