Environment, Energy and Sustainability Foundation Province, Spain
The Environment, Energy and Sustainability Foundation Province of Cadiz (Provincial Energy Agency - APEC) was born on 2006 in the framework of the IEE Programme for the establishment of local and regional energy agencies.
APEC works for a change in the current energy model towards a new one more sustainable based on RE sources and the idea "do more with less and do it better". Cadiz, because of its geographical characteristics, could become the main reference in the Andalusia energy context. The Agency's key objectives are to promote the energy saving; to improve the energy efficiency encouraging the final consumer awareness and reducing the current rates of consumption and to foster the use of the RE sources in the Province.
