


The University of Burgos was created in 1994. Currently, the University has got almost 9,000 students, which makes Burgos a medium-sized university. The university is divided into two campuses: the Campus del Vena and the Campus of San Amaro. There are four Faculties (Sciences, Economics and Business Studies, Law, Humanities and Education), one Higher Polytechnic School and two appointed Schools at the University of Burgos. The University library is equipped with the most up-to-date technology for consultation and research in electronic publications. The University of Burgos organises also summer courses of Spanish language and culture for foreign students, a wide programme of sporting activities throughout the academic year for all levels, and cultural activities (theatre, music, etc.) aimed at fostering the creative and expressive capacity of the university community.
